Pokelike turns Pokémon-style team building into a fast roguelike run where every route choice can save or break your team.
Here's a quick look at the game:
What is Pokelike?
Pokelike is a browser Pokémon-style roguelike where you start with one starter and build a six-member team during a run. You move through map choices, meet wild Pokémon, collect items, take trades, earn badges, and prepare for bigger fights ahead.
Battles play out around your team setup instead of constant move selection. Your job is to pick the right route, keep useful Pokémon, use items at the right time, and arrange your team before the next opponent. A good run is about staying ready for the next badge, not just grabbing every reward.
How to Play Pokelike
Choose a generation, select a mode, and pick your starter. From there, follow the route and make one decision after another. You may get a battle, a wild Pokémon choice, an item reward, a trade offer, or another event that changes your team.
Your main goal in a normal run is to collect badges and reach the Champion. Each fight tests the team you built before it begins, so check your lineup often. A strong starter can carry early battles, but later opponents punish teams with poor type coverage or weak support.
When your team is full, new Pokémon choices become harder. Do not replace a useful role just because a new option looks stronger. Look at what your team already covers, what it still loses to, and whether the next reward helps your current plan.

Tips for Pokelike
- Pick routes that fix your team’s biggest weakness, not just the safest-looking reward.
- Reorder your team before major fights so your best opener starts in front.
- Keep items for Pokémon that already have a clear role.
- Replace team members only when the new pick gives better coverage or stronger matchups.
